Current (2020) HOA Board of Directors
We are very pleased to announce the five-member Hidden Trace Homeowners Association, Inc. Board of Directors for 2021. I hope you will join me in thanking them for their commitment to serve the community. Your Board members are:
Our HOA dues are $140.00 per calendar year and due in January.
Dues pay for electricity and water at the entrances, landscaping, maintenance, liability insurance, post office box, and office supplies.
Please remember our Homeowner’s Association, or HOA, is incorporated and is subject to state statutes that govern non-profit organizations. We are recognized by both Jefferson County and the City of Trussville as the neighborhood of Hidden Trace. We are recognized by the IRS as a non-profit ‘social welfare’ group for tax filing purposes. The HOA is meant to oversee any shared property belonging to the homeowner group, as well as giving the neighborhood legal means of reinforcing any agreed upon rules the homeowners must follow.
Membership in the HOA is a condition of purchase of your home, meaning that the rules that govern our neighborhood are tied to the property and are NOT optional. A buyer isn’t given an option to reject it.
Our HOA covenants and by-laws can be found here. Please take the time to read these, and take corrective action if you are not in compliance. If you do receive a letter from the HOA, please do not take your frustration out on the officers. They are only doing what they were elected to do. Ultimately, a well running HOA is good for our home values, and makes us a desirable place to live. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate contacting one of the officers.
